The legendarily unstable All Saints foursome are again facing the possibility of a permanent split following Melanie Blatt's walk-out just prior to the recording of a major television performance.

Melanie stormed out of the studio, angered by the fact that some of the vocals that she had laid down had been lost, saying: "Here we go again another Shaznay and the Appletons show." She apologised to producers explaining that she was "no longer an All Saint."

Blatt then kept the band hanging on until the last moment when she reappeared in time to take part in an awkward, brief performance and quickly launch back in to her arguments with the band.

The episode mirrors a similar one which took place at the CD:UK studios when the girls were performing then hit, 'Pure Shores'. Industry insiders have long been speculating on the future of the band whose internal divisions are well documented.

Blatt has frequently signalled her unhappiness with the relationships between the group and has been reported to feel excluded by Shaznay's glory grabbing writing talents and the Appleton sisters' consistent showbiz antics
