Sick Saints' tour is KO'd

THE All Saints have hit another crisis - postponing a promotional tour of Australia and Japan due to illness.

Shaznay Lewis and Nicole Appleton have both been ordered to bed suffering from viral infections.

It is particularly worrying for Nicole who is two months pregnant with lover Liam Gallagher's baby.

She and Shaznay have been prescribed antibiotics.

The band were due to fly out yesterday. First stop was to have been Japan where they had planned four days of TV and radio appearances before heading Down Under for another four days' work.

But an insider tells me: "The girls are really worn out and they've decided to give the tour a miss for now.

"It's the sort of thing they may have shrugged off before. But with Nicole's condition, they didn't want to take any chances. She has a baby to think about and has to start looking after herself now."

The cancellation comes two weeks after the band were on the verge of a split when Melanie Blatt walked out.

It followed a row with Shaznay over backing vocals during filming of Sky One's The One And Only.

The postponement will come as a blow to fans in the Far East where the All Saints have a huge following.

A spokesman for the girls said: "The tour will be rescheduled for a later date.

"The band would like to apologise to all the fans in Japan and Australia who will miss them but they will hopefully be out there soon."
