Hey everyone!
Happy New Year to you all. It's here, the year! this is the year! I can feel it in me water and other parts. The Ryes is a rocket ready to take off and it's gonna happen in 2007!
Last year was test the water (no relation to the afore mentioned water) year, you know, try some things out, see what sticks and what doesn't but this year has a different feel to it!
I know your all thinking, 'yeah, shut up and join a gym for a month and never go again you January New Years resolution freak!' but I'm telling you it's all set to go.
We did a gig in December at the Purple Turtle in Camden and that was a great night. Thanks to everyone who made it down there. We loved it!
Christmas came and went and to be honest with you we did bugger all.We ate drank and got very merry, rehearsed, got more merry and watched Escape to Victory.
Football wise the results were average for Mark (Chelsea) Not bad for Dan (Tottenham) and pretty bloody awful for Paul (West Ham). Dave and James stay away from Football and prefer Ladies Gymnastic.
The band are excited about this year for so many reasons. Gigs coming up (you'll be the first to know), recordings and Rocky 6!!!!!!!!!!!! The Stallion is back and we can't wait! We nearly got on the soundtrack with 'Fight', Stallone loved it but red tape got in the way and alas it was not to be! Gutted! Nevermind!
We'll be down to the South Coast this month in Eastbourne (birthplace of some of your favourite songs e.g Hideaway.) We're at the Funktion Rooms on Pevensey Road so get your arses down there and have a blast coz we're gonna!..
So the word is spreading and the gigs are coming, Rocky 6 is upon us and James is coming.
You'll be seeing alot of us this year and hopefully we'll be seeing alot of you!
